This specimen is one of a series minted in Spain 1792-1808 at Madrid (shown here) and Seville for Charles IV. The type is listed quite low in the SCWC but is very hard to find. This specimen was lot 3558 in Goldberg sale 78 (Los Angeles, January 2014). The catalog description[1] noted, "Spain. ½ Real, 1804-FA (Madrid). Charles IV. Deeply toned. NGC graded AU-58."

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 1.69 g, 0.812 fine silver, .044 troy oz ASW.
