This specimen was lot 21879 in Heritage sale 3010 (Boston, August 2010), where it sold for $1,840. The catalog description[1] noted, "Felipe V gold 2 Escudos 1741PJ Seville, MS61 NGC, nicely detailed strike with toned mint luster, very scarce when graded mint state." Seville in Spain struck this type 1730-42, Madrid 1730-34 and Mexico City 1732-47.

Specification: 6.77 g, 0.917 fine gold, .196 troy oz AGW.
