This specimen was lot 46069 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Costa Mesa, CA, August 2021), where it sold for $132. The catalog description[1] noted, "SOUTH AFRICA. 6 Pence, 1932. PCGS MS-63 Gold Shield. A pleasing, lightly toned coin with soft luster." The six pence was struck in South Africa 1923-60. It was 0.800 fine silver until 1930 and 0.500 fine thereafter. The first issues (1923-24) had a numeric reverse. In 1931, the reverse was modified to read "6 D" instead of "6 PENCE" and struck in this form until 1936.

Recorded mintage: 1,525,000 + 12 proofs.

Specification: 2.83 g, 0.800 fine silver, 19.4 mm diameter.
