This specimen was lot 75370 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2022), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "SOUTH AFRICA. 3 Pence, 1926. George V. PCGS AU-55. A well struck little coin with soft field luster and gray toning throughout, accented with a bit of russet." The South African threepences of George V run 1923-36 with this subtype issued 1925-30. The 1926 is a common date.

Recorded mintage: 1,576,000 plus 16 proofs.

Specification: 1.41 g, 0.800 fine silver, 16 mm diameter.
