This specimen was lot 2291 in Goldberg sale 115 (Los Angeles, February 2020), where it sold for $84. The catalog description[1] noted, "Scotland. Ten Shillings, 1695. William II (III of England), 1694-1702. Bust left with value below. Reverse: Crowned shield. Fine." This type, struck 1695-99, is roughly equal to a British shilling. The Act of Union in 1707 ended the Scottish coinage.
