This specimen was lot 37469 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "SCOTLAND. 20 Shillings, 1695. Edinburgh Mint. William II. PCGS VF-30. From the Richard August Collection." The twenty shillings was equal to one Scottish pound or two English shillings. This type was struck 1695-99. The Act of Union in 1707 ended the Scottish coinage.
