This specimen was lot 56567 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2024), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Saxony. Taler, 1827-S. Anton. PCGS AU-55." The SCWC notes five different convention thalers for Saxony in 1827 (KM 1096, KM 1097, KM 1111.1, KM 1111.2 and KM 1112, shown here). This type of 1827-28 is fairly common and is the first to depict the new king.
