This specimen was lot 3809 in Künker sale 264 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €525 (about US$678 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SACHSEN, KURFÜRSTENTUM Friedrich August III. (I.), 1763-1806-1827. Dukat 1764, Leipzig. GOLD. R Kl. Henkelspur, winz. Probierspur, sehr schön. (Germany, electorate of Saxony, Frederick Augustus III, 1763-1827, ducat of 1764, Leipzig mint. Scarce, mountmark, a few rim nicks, very fine.)"

A one year type from the beginning of Friedrich August III's long reign.
