This specimen was lot 6609 in Künker sale 336 (Osnabruck, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €1,000 (about US$1,309 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SACHSEN, SACHSEN, KURFÜRSTENTUM, Friedrich August II. 1733-1763. 1/4 Dukat 1743, Dresden. GOLD. R Vorzüglich. (Germany, electorate of Saxony, Frederick Augustus II, 1733-63, quarter ducat of 1743, Dresden mint. Scarce, extremely fine.)"
This type was struck 1735-40 and 1743 and is rare.
