This specimen was lot 4057 in Künker sale 406 (Osnabruck, March 2024), where it sold for €2,000 (about US$2,624 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SACHSEN, KURFÜRSTENTUM, Friedrich August II. 1733-1763. 1/4 Dukat 1737, Dresden. GOLD. R Fast vorzüglich. (electorate of Saxony, Frederick Augustus II, 1733-63, quarter ducat of 1737, Dresden mint. Rare, about extremely fine.)"
This type was struck 1735-40 and 1743 and is rare.
