This specimen was lot 2495 in Künker sale 439 (Osnabrück, March 2026), where it sold for €2,600 (about US$3,577 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SACHSEN, KURFÜRSTENTUM Johann Georg I., 1615-1656. Dukat 1641, Dresden. GOLD. R Leicht gewellt, vorzüglich. (electorate of Saxony, John George I, 1615-56, ducat of 1641, Dresden mint. Rare, slightly wavy, extremely fine.)"
This type was struck 1625-55 and is the most common Saxon ducat of the seventeenth century after Fr-2642, which was extensively restruck. Mintmaster CR stamped coins 1641-78.
