This specimen was lot 29534 in Heritage sale 3037 (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $3,407.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Saxony. Johann Georg I gold Ducat 1639-SD MS63 PCGS. Gorgeous, with harvest-gold surfaces that promote extremely crisp and intricate devices. A type seldom encountered in this select level of mint-state and highly appealing as such." This type was issued annually 1625-55 yet despite the many dates noted, it is scarce.
