This specimen was lot 3104 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $204. The catalog description[1] noted, "SAXONY: Johann Georg I, 1615-1656, AR ¼ thaler, 1625, lovely original color, About XF, ex Dr. Robert A. Rosenfeld Collection." 1623-27. This design also appeared on eighth, half, single and double thalers for 1625.
