This specimen was lot 10038 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $499. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA. Salzburg. Taler, 1777-M. NGC MS-62. Hieronymus von Collorado-Waldsee (1772-1803). Lightly toned. Demarete Collection." This type was struck 1772-86 and is common in circulated condition. The Archbishop is most remembered as the first patron of Mozart but grew irritable when Mozart demanded better status than a mere employee.
