This specimen was part of lot 3814 in Goldberg sale 70 (Los Angeles, September 2012), where it sold for $1,495. The catalog description[1] noted, "Rwanda. 100 Francs, 1961 (1965). President Gregoire Kayibanda. PCGS graded Proof 65 Deep Cameo." This rare coin, which was issued with gold ten, twenty-five and fifty francs, barely made its bullion value in the auction.
Recorded mintage: 3,000 proofs.
