This specimen was lot 3871 in Goldberg sale 75 (Los Angeles, September 2013), where it sold for $3,450. The catalog description[1] noted, "Russia. 200 Roubles, 1996. Wildlife series. Double-headed eagle. Reverse: Amur tiger. In original case. Choice Brilliant Proof." Other animals honored included the brown bear (Y413), the sable (Y527), the lynx (Y500) and the polar bear (Y598).
