Stack's Bowers February 2024 Collector's Choice sale, lot 75576

This specimen was lot 75576 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2024), where it sold for $840. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. Silver 100 Rubles (Kilo), 1996-AMA. St. Petersburg Mint. PCGS PROOF-64 Deep Cameo. Nutcracker Ballet. A massive and exceptionally festive issue, this near-Gem glistens with a great cameo aspect." This NCLT followed a similar 1 kg silver issue honoring Sleeping Beauty (Y434). This was succeeded by one of 1997 honoring Swan Lake (Y573).

Recorded mintage: 1,000.

Specification: 1111.1 g, 0.900 fine silver, 100 mm diameter, ASW 32.15 oz.
