Stack's Bowers June 2022 Collector's Choice sale, lot 72433

This specimen was lot 72433 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2022), where it sold for $60. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. 10 Kopeks, 1930. Leningrad (St. Petersburg) Mint. PCGS MS-65. This handsome Gem offers up some wholesome shine and a touch of glossy golden color." This type was struck 1924-31 and all the dates are common except the proofs and the 1931. It and the accompanying 15, 20 and 50 kopeks were the last silver coins struck for circulation.

Specification: 1.8 g, 0.500 fine silver.
