This specimen was lot 42599 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Oklahoma City, OK, August 2025), where it sold for $2,400. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. 20 Kopeks, 1931. St. Petersburg (Leningrad) Mint. PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, AU Details. A KEY DATE for this older design, this present minor, despite its noted cleaning, stands as an important and highly desired example." This is the last date silver was struck for circulation in Russia; the superseding KM Y97 was copper-nickel. The obverse motto, "ПРОЛЕТАРИИ ВСЕХ СТРАН, СОЕДИНЯИТЕСЬ!", translates as, "Workers of the world, unite!"
