This specimen was lot 23645 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2019), where it sold for $100. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. 20 Kopeks, 1929. NGC MS-66. A lovely gem with exceptional soft satin luster." This type was struck 1924-31 to the standard of the old tsarist twenty kopeks. It was converted to copper-nickel in 1931.
Recorded mintage: 67,250,000.
Specification: 3.6 g, 0.500 fine silver, 22 mm diameter.
