Sincona sale 99, lot 424

This specimen was lot 424 in Sincona Auction 99 (Zürich, October 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"RUSSLAND Kaiserreich und Föderation, Nicholas II. 1894-1917, 50 Kopecks 1904, St. Petersburg Mint, (AR). Sehr selten, besonders in dieser Erhaltung. NGC PF62 CAMEO. Prachtexemplar. (empire of Russia, Nicholas II, 1894-1917, fifty kopeks of 1904, St. Petersburg mint. Very rare, especially in this condition, Cabinet piece.)"

This type was struck 1895-1914. The fifty kopeks replaced the old poltina or half ruble.

Recorded mintage: 4,010,000, a scarce date despite the large mintage.

Specification: 10 g, 0.900 fine silver.
