This specimen was lot 4573 in Goldberg sale 65 (Los Angeles, September 2011), where it sold for $2,242.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Russia. 15 Rubles, 1897-АГ. Narrow rim variety. Nicholas II. One year type. NGC graded MS-61." A matching 7½ rubles (KM Y63) was also issued.
Recorded mintage: 11,900,000.
Specification: 12.90 g, 0.900 fine silver, .373 troy oz AGW, lettered edge (same weight as a French forty francs d'or).
