This specimen was lot 75298 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2022), where it sold for $528. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. 3 Kopeks, 1874-EM. Ekaterinburg Mint. Alexander II. NGC MS-63 Brown. A lovely Choice example, this piece though mostly chocolate brown, does display a light dollop of mint red and is certainly an attractive specimen." This type was struck 1867-76 and is one of the last issues of the Ekaterinburg mint. The denomination was reduced in weight to 9.83 g in 1867 and struck in that form until the end of the regime.

Recorded mintage: 4,419,000, a common date.

Specification: 8 g, copper, 28 mm diameter per the SCWC; 9.83 g, 28.36 mm diameter per Numista.
