Stack's Bowers May 2025 Collectors Choice Online Auction, lot 75645

This specimen was lot 75645 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2025), where it sold for $85. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. 20 Kopek, 1871-CNB HI. St. Petersburg Mint. Alexander II. NGC MS-63." In 1867, the weight of the twenty kopeks was reduced from 4.14 g, 0.750 fine silver to 3.60 g, 0.500 fine silver and struck in that form until the collapse of the regime. None were made 1894-1900. Note the conspicuous die clash on the reverse.
