The first specimen was lot 758 in Sincona sale 19 (Zürich, October 2014), where it sold for CHF 1,100 (about US$1,379 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "20 Kopecks 1860, St. Petersburg Mint, ФБ. Old pencil marks. Good extremely fine." This type is listed for 1860-66 and was emitted in large quantities. A small eagle reverse also exists for 1860.
Recorded mintage: 14,440,000 plus 1,070,000 of the small eagle reverse (KM Y22.1).
Specification: 4.14 g, 0.868 fine silver, this specimen 3.97 g.
