Sincona sale 78, lot 444

This specimen was lot 444 in Sincona sale 78 (Zürich, October 2022), where it sold for 30 CHF (about US$36 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA | Russian Empire and Federation | Nicholas I. 1825-1855, Poltina 1829, St. Petersburg Mint, SPB NG. 0.75 rouble according to Petrov. Fine." This type was struck 1826-31 with the "wings down" eagle and is fairly available in circulated condition.

Recorded mintage: 880,000.

Specification: 10.36 g, 0.868 fine silver. This specimen is 10.22 g.
