This specimen was lot 2059 in Goldberg's NY International sale 59 (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $3,840. The catalog description[1] noted, "Poltina 1744 MMД. Authenticated and graded by NGC AU Details, cleaned “Ex Baranova” (# 6478271-004). Lightly cleaned, now toned light pearly gray, pale amber peripheral hues. About uncirculated." This type was struck 1741-49 at Moscow (shown here) and 1742-51 at St. Petersburg (KM C18.2, C18.3). It is rather expensive in collectible condition.

Recorded mintage: 106,000.
