This specimen was lot 2901 in Stephen Album sale 41 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2021), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "ROMANIA: Carol I, as King, 1881-1914, 20 bani, 1906, wonderfully lustrous, NGC graded MS64." This type of 1905-06 was the only issue of this denomination during the monarchy.
Recorded mintage: 3,000,000 + 2,500,000 from Hamburg.
Specification: 5.90 g, copper-nickel, 25 mm diameter.
