This specimen was lot 25704 in Heritage sale 3032 (Chicago, April 2014), where it sold for $3,290. The catalog description[1] noted, "Carol I 50 Bani 1885-B, Bucharest mint, UNC Details (Surface Hairlines) NGC. Toned in mostly rich golden hues with no easily recognizable hairlines on the surfaces. A much better date for this short-lived type. From The Collection of Dr. Roger R. McFadden." The 1884 is the more available date.
