Romania 1885-B leu
This specimen was lot 30495 in Heritage sale 3037 (New York, January 2015), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Carol I Leu 1885-B MS62+ PCGS, Bucharest mint. A choice, mint-state offering that features the fully-detailed portrait of Carol I with lightly dappled patina and champagne tone that clings to the devices. One of the nicest examples of this type that we've handled and an exceedingly difficult piece to acquire in mint-state, this specimen should absolutely spark the interest of the advanced collector." This is the scarcer of two dates, 1884 and 1885 but it is not rare in circulated condition.
