This specimen was lot 55743 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $80. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Reuss-Schleiz. 3 Pfennig, 1858-A. Berlin Mint. Heinrich LXVII. NGC MS-64 Red Brown." This type was struck 1855, 1858, 1862, 1864 and is common. One thaler was 360 pfennige. Reuss was one of the splinter states of Saxon Thuringia and itself underwent several divisions. Many rulers were named Heinrich and several lines consolidated their numbering, resulting in this prince becoming Heinrich the sixty-seventh.
