Künker sale 405, lot 3208

This specimen was lot 3208 in Künker sale 405 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €1,700 (about US$2,231 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DIE REICHSSTADT REGENSBURG. DIE ZEIT DES KAISERS KARLS VI. 1/4 Reichstaler 1737, mit Titel Karls VI. Münzmeister Johann Michael Federer. Stempelschneider vermutlich Christoph Daniel Oexlein. Von größter Seltenheit. Laut Münzakten nur 134 Exemplare geprägt. Feine Patina, vorzüglich. (city of Regensburg, quarter thaler of 1737, struck in the name of Charles VI. Extremely rare, only 134 pieces struck per mint records, fine patina, extremely fine.)"
