Regensburg 1586 30 kreuzer
This specimen was lot 3075 in Künker sale 405 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €650 (about US$853 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DIE REICHSSTADT REGENSBURG. DIE ZEIT DES KAISERS RUDOLF II., 1576-1612. Prägungen anläßlich des Regensburger Stahlschützenfestes von 1586. ½ Guldentaler (30 Kreuzer) 1586. Schützenpreis beim Stahlschützenfest. Münzmeister Jakob Fischer. Von großer Seltenheit. Hübsche Patina, kl. Schrötlingsriß, sehr schön. (city of Regensburg, coins made on the occasion of the Regensburg Steel Shooting Festival in 1586. Half gulden or thirty kreuzer of 1586, prize for the shooting festival. Extremely rare, handsome patina, minor planchet crack, very fine.)"
This commemorative was accompanied by a sixty kreuzer (KM MB190) and a ten kreuzer (KM MB186).
