Künker sale 353, lot 4208

This specimen was lot 4208 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €400 (about US$557 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Wilhelm II. 1888-1918. 5 Mark 1900, A. . Prachtexemplar. Vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, William II, 1888-1918, five mark of 1900. Choice example, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"

This type was struck 1891-1908. It superseded a similar type with a different reverse (Dav-788).

Recorded mintage: 1,079,874, a common date.

Specification: 27.77 g, 0.900 fine silver, lettered edge, 38 mm diameter.
