This specimen was lot 142 in Sincona sale 69 (Zürich, May 2021), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHLAND | Brandenburg / Prussia. Wilhelm I. 1861-1888. 1/2 Krone 1863 A, Berlin. Selten. Nur 3'642 Exemplare geprägt. NGC MS62. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, William I, 1861-88, half krone of 1863, Berlin mint. Rare. Only 3,642 pieces struck.)"
This type was minted in Berlin 1862-69 in substantial numbers but is now rare. Many may have been melted to strike gold ten and twenty mark after the reform of 1871.
