Künker sale 353, lot 3967

This specimen was lot 3967 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €550 (about US$766 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich Wilhelm III. 1797-1840. Taler 1800, A. Mit Signatur L am Armabschnitt (Stempelschneider Daniel Friedrich Loos). Leicht justiert, vorzüglich/Stempelglanz. Erworben am 29.6.1970. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick William III, 1797-1840, thaler of 1800, with initial "L" below the bust. Lightly adjusted, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"

This type was struck at Berlin and Breslau 1797-1809 and is common.
