Prussia 1732-EGN ducat Fr-2359
This specimen was lot 3249 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €2,200 (about US$3,062 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich Wilhelm I. der Soldatenkönig, 1713-1740. Dukat 1732, EGN, Berlin. Münzmeister Ernst Georg Neubauer. GOLD. Sehr schön-vorzüglich/vorzüglich. Exemplar der Auktion Leipziger Münzhandlung 34, Leipzig 2003, Nr. 2425. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick William I, the Soldier King, 1713-40, ducat of 1732, Berlin mint. Very fine to extremely fine.)"
This type is listed for 1725-32 with all dates being rare. Issues of ducats in Prussia, never prolific, dwindled after the introduction of the frederick d'or in the 1740's.
