Künker sale 353, lot 3184

This specimen was lot 3184 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €600 (about US$835 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich (III.) I. 1701-1713. 2/3 Taler 1705, HFH, Magdeburg. Der Kopf teilt die Umschrift. Münzmeister Heinrich Friedrich Halter. Feine Patina, winz. Prägeschwäche, vorzüglich. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick I, 1701-13, gulden of 1705, Mgdeburg mint. The head interrupts the legend. Fine patina, slightly weakly struck, extremely fine.)"

This type was struck at Magdeburg 1703-05.

Recorded mintage: 151,582 (including KM 12).

Specification: 17.32 g, 0.750 fine silver, this specimen 17,03 g.
