This specimen was lot 75549 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2022), where it sold for $100. The catalog description[1] noted, "PORTUGAL. 10 Escudos, 1932. Lisbon Mint. NGC MS-64. Soft satin luster flows over the devices while a robust brilliance emanates from the backdrop. Blast white save for the slightest hints of peripheral golden-amber." This type was accompanied by 2½ and five escudos of similar design. Of the seven dates struck, the 1932 and 1940 are the most available.
