Sincona sale 76, lot 1351

This specimen was lot 1351 in Sincona sale 76 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 1,400 CHF (about US$1,699 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"PORTUGAL | Königreich. Jose I. 1750-1777. Peca (6400 Reis) 1770, Lissabon. Fast FDC. NGC MS63. Leicht justiert. (kingdom of Portugal, José I, 1750-77, 6400 réis of 1770, Lisbon mint. About uncirculated, Minor adjustment marks.)"

This type was struck 1750-76 but is seldom seen compared to similar coins that were struck in Brazil.
