Sedwick sale 11, lot 154

This specimen was 154 in Sedwick sale 11 (Winter Park, FL, April 2011), where it sold for $488.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "Lisbon, Portugal, 400 reis, John V, 1733. Bold XF+, hint of luster, no problems." This type was struck in Lisbon 1718-48 and is often listed as a cruzado novo. It was officially worth 400 réis but traded for 480 réis.
