This specimen was lot 57601 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "PORTUGAL. Vintem (20 Reis), ND (1667-83). Pedro as Prince Regent. PCGS EF-45." Pedro II seized power from his brother Afonso VI in 1668 and ruled as regent until his brother's death in 1683; he ruled as king until his own death in 1706. The SCWC dates this vintem to 1672 and notes it as the last hammered vintem. The next issue of this denomination, KM 133, is from 1688.
