This specimen was lot 33550 in Heritage sale 3114 (New York, January 2024), where it sold for $4,200. The lot description[1] noted, "German States: Pomerania. Bogislaw XIV gold Ducat 1633 AU Details (Bent) PCGS, Stettin mint. A quite scarce type, the present offering being the first we have handled and one that, despite the grade qualifier, presents virtually Uncirculated surfaces with detailed devices and luminous recesses. From the Dynasty Collection, #297." This type wa struck 1633 only. It is closely related to the previous Fr-2100 but has helmets added to the arms on the reverse. This duke was the last of his line; on his death, the duchy was caught up in the multisided Thirty Years War. By the Peace of Westphalia, it was partitioned between Sweden and Brandenburg (later Prussia).
