Künker sale 294, lot 3731

This specimen was lot 3731 in Künker sale 294 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €4,400 (about US$5,930 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"POMMERN, POMMERN, HERZOGTUM UNTER SCHWEDEN, Christina, 1637-1654. Dukat 1641, Stettin. GOLD. R Attraktives Exemplar mit feiner Goldpatina, min. Randfehler, fast vorzüglich. Exemplar der Auktion Westfälische Auktionsgesellschaft 57, Dortmund 2011, Nr. 589. (Germany, duchy of Pomerania, under Swedish rule, Christina, 1637-54, ducat of 1641, Stettin mint. Scarce, attractive example with fine gold patina, minor edge defects, about extremely fine.)"

This type of 1641 only is scarce. Several other Christina ducats are noted for 1642-54.
