Sincona sale 43, lot 2605

This specimen was lot 2605 in Sincona sale 43 (Zürich, October 2017), where it sold for 100 CHF (about US$119 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"POLEN, Johann Kasimir, 1649-1668 30 Gröscher 1663 AT. Bromberg. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (kingdom of Poland, John Casimir, 1649-88, thirty groschen of 1663, Bromberg mint. Very fine-extremely fine.)"

This denomination is listed in the SCWC as simultaneously a gulden or a third thaler or a tympf. It was struck 1661-66 and weighs about one fourth of a thaler whereas the traditional tympf (18 groszy) weighed about a fifth of a thaler.
