This fifty piso was struck by the Franklin Mint to honor former president Manuel Quezon, who also appeared on a silver twenty-five piso (KM 221). It was hoarded and is common today altho many have PVC damage. The currency was reformed in 1967 and all the World War era coinage struck in the USA was demonetized.

Recorded mintage: 10,000 in matte finish and 9,869 proofs.

Specification: 27.40 g, 0.925 fine silver, 40 mm diameter.
