This is one of the less common issues of the seventies from the Philippines. It commemmorates the inauguration of the new mint and banknote printing plant in Manila. A silver fifty piso marking the event (KM 218) was also issued.
Recorded mintage: 3,000 plus 3,000 proofs.
Specification: 20.55 g, 0.900 fine gold, .594 troy oz AGW.
