Peru 1966 10 centavos

The ten centavos denomination was originally occupied by the silver dinero, struck 1863-1917. It was superseded by a copper-nickel coin in 1918, which was replaced by a brass type in 1942 when World War Two drove up the price of nickel. This type, issued 1966-68, features a thinner planchet and a numeric date. All dates are common. It is accompanied by brass five and twenty centavos.
