This specimen was lot 1947 in Goldberg sale 81 (Los Angeles, September 2014), where it sold for $2,056.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "Peru. 8 Escudos, 1835 -B (Cuzco). Liberty standing holding shield and pole. Reverse: Arms. NGC graded AU-55." This type was struck at Cuzco 1826-45 and at Lima 1826-40 and 1850-55. Assayer "B" stamped half, two, four and eight reales and eight escudos 1835-36 only. This is one of the more available dates.
