Peru 1824-Cuz T 2 reales

The specimen shown is a scarce one year type minted in Cuzco, Peru, by the royalists before the final collapse of their cause. Harris^[1] mentions finding 3 specimens of the coin versus 218 pieces of the regular Lima issue of 1811-21. The Cuzco mint remained open after independence and struck Republican types until 1846.
